The Rajasthan Industrial Corridors Development Corporation (RIDCO) has secured preliminary clearance for constructing a dedicated railway spur linking the upcoming Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA) with Rohat railway station. This approval comes as infrastructure projects and land allocations advance within the integrated industrial township located in Pali district.

North Western Railway’s Jodhpur division authorized the siding project along the Rohat–Luni–Marwar Junction route under the Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal Policy. The proposed rail connection will streamline cargo transportation to and from the logistics hub, which spans 288 hectares across the developing township.

RIDCO will now engage with stakeholders to explore private sector involvement in constructing the multimodal logistics facility. While this approval marks an early regulatory step, no details about construction timelines or project costs have been released.

Simultaneously, the corporation has made 30 plots available in Phase I through an online bidding platform. Of these, 28 are designated for manufacturing operations while two are reserved for hospitality services like motels or restaurants. The base land price is set at ₹4,000 per square meter, with additional fees applicable.

The allocated plots aim to support industrial production and related activities along the corridor. Approved revisions to Phase I’s master plan now include designated zones for textiles, pharmaceuticals, waste recycling, agro-processing, and general manufacturing sectors.

Gas supply infrastructure is also advancing, with RIDCO’s board approving 4,000 square meters of land for Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) to establish either a gas terminal or compressed natural gas facility. This will enhance fuel availability for industrial operations within the township.

Utility development remains on track, with dedicated pipelines for water and electricity being constructed at an estimated cost of ₹400 crore. Additionally, a new vehicular underpass providing direct access to the industrial area has been completed.

As part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor initiative, JPMIA’s development incorporates rail connectivity, specialized industrial clusters, and essential utilities to prepare the township for manufacturers. While RIDCO reports growing interest from both domestic and international firms, specific investment commitments remain undisclosed.

The railway siding’s finalization will depend on follow-up implementation phases, including logistics hub construction, infrastructure completion, and plot allocations. These steps are critical to strengthening JPMIA’s appeal to prospective industrial investors.
